Description of the Flag

Chelan County is located in north-central Washington state. The flag of Chelan County consists of the county logo centered on white. To no surprise, the county seat Wenatchee considers itself to be the "Apple Capital of the World".

I can find no record of the County officially adopting our flag, so we have an unofficial flag. About 1988 the Commissioners had a contest for a new logo for the County. The winner of the contest was Ron Longuski an employee of the County's maintenance department. His design became the County's logo and flag.
