Description of the flag

The flag of Wink can be seen in front of its city hall, adopted around 2020 as city secretary Gina Funderburg informed me. The idea was thought of by her and office staff of the administration. It is a horizontal bicolor of orange and black, the city colors. In the center it has a version of the city seal charged upon it, outlined in black and red. In its outer ring it reads its motto: THE CITY THAT OIL AND FRIENDSHIP BUILT, the legend divided by two countercharged stars symbolic of the state. In the center is a map of the state, bearing a star for Wink's location. Below is the legend WINK TX 1926, the third the year oil was discovered here.
