Çaykur Rizespor (Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü; website) was established as a professional football club in 1968. The club's name was changed from Rizespor to Çaykur Rizespor in 1990, when the tea-producing company Çaykur became its main sponsor.
Çaykur Rizespor has been playing in the First League since 2013.
