The first provincial logo was designed in 2012 upon request of Governor
Abdülkadir Demir, appointed in 2011. The logo was soon criticized for having
been inspired by the logo of the Gendarmerie General Command and for featuring a
"post-modern" rooster and an average, flat representation of Pammukale
travertines.
The next governor, Şükrü Kocatepe, had the new logo designed
in the first month of his office; first used on 16 October 2014, the new logo
has a more complex design featuring architectural elements representing
Denizli's ancient historical cities, a more realistic representation of
Pammukale travertines but the very same "post-modern" rooster.
A new logo
was designed in 2017 upon request of Governor Ahmet Altıparmak, featuring a
realistic representation of the rooster, in white, omitting the architectural
elements and adding "1923", the year of proclamation of the republic, in base.

For whatever reason, the newest logo is
no longer used - provided it has ever been. The province's official website
shows the logo adopted in 2014.

The photo showing the
flag is not dated. We may expect the flag to be replaced, or to have been
replaced, by a flag with a logo based on the "generic" model (see recently
posted flags of Ankara, Bolu and Bursa provinces).

The flag of Denizli Province (photo) is white with the province's emblem in the middle. "T.C." stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", "Republic of Turkey"; "Valiliği" means "Governorate".
The emblem of the municipality features the Denizli chicken (presentation), also represented on the emblem of the Metropolitan Municipality of Denizli.
The Denizli chicken is classified by the Poultry Club among the "Rare Long Crowers". Chicken breeding appears to be quite ancient in Denizli; excavations performed in 2003 in the old town of Laodicea yielded a marble relief, 900 years old, featuring a fighting rooster crowned with a palm (Hürriyet Daily News, 18 May 2013).
