Maiwut State

Maiwut State was one of the few short-lived states, established on 14 January 2017. Presidential decree disestablished the state on 22 February 2020. Its flag was a green field with the state emblem over the center.

Emblem

Image located by Paris Renesis, 28 October 2025

This state emblem appears to be unique. The emblem was a blue shield with two crossed spears behind it (Upper Nile regional symbol), with an inner circle over it. The inner circle depicts a cob of corn as a representation of the importance of agriculture, surrounded by a red wreath. In the background are mountains and a field for agriculture as well. Below, there is a white ribbon which reads Maiwut State.
