Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base a bridge Argent masoned Sable with one arch, on chief an inescutcheon Azure a bend chequered of Argent and Sable flanked by two fleur-de-lis Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black maiuscles "SÃO JOÃO DE TAROUCA".
Meaning:

São João de Tarouca is one of the four communes of Tarouca Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 460 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 22,46 km².
