It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert, in base three corn cobs Or ordered 2:1, in chief a grid Or, flanked by two birds affronty of Argent and Gules. Mural crown with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll reading in black initials: "ARNEIRO DAS MILHARIÇAS".
Meaning:
The birds - the Portuguese name is "milheirinhos" allude to the name of the commune. The grid is an attribute of St. Laurence, the local patron saint. The green shield colour and the corn cobs (Portuguese: milho) are representing the agricultural production of the commune. The latters also are canting elements. Draft designed by José Bènard Guedes.

Arneiro das Milhariças Commune is one of the 18 communes of Santarém Municipality (q.v.); it had 832 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 11.1 km².
