Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FREGUESIA DE PÓVOA DE LANHOSO - N. S. AMPARO"
Meaning:
St. Mary as Our Lady of the Sanctuary is the local patron saint.
