Shield Argent on top of a wine barrel Azure a rooster passant Gules armed Or holding a gimlet Sable in fess by his dexter claw, on chief two wine leaves Vert veined Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "GALAFURA".
Meaning:
These arms are punning as the toponym appears superficially to be a combination of the commons words "galo" (= "rooster") and "fura" (= "drill!" or "he/she/it drills"). (editorial note: a "gimlet" is a "drill" operated by hand only)
