Shield Argent, an eradicated walnut tree Vert fruited Or, the stem flanked by two nails Sable, in dexter chief a Marian crown Or, in sinister chief a 5-point star Gules, bordure Gules charged with six bees Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "NOGUEIRA DO CRAVO - OLIVEIRA DE AZEMÉIS".
Meaning:
The commune's name means "walnut tree of the nail". Tree and nails are thus canting elements. Crown and perhaps also the star are attributes of Our Lady of Blissfulness, to whom a local chapel is dedicated.
