Shield Or a cross calvary Sable, flanked by two olive branches Vert fructed Sable, on base a lagoon Azure semy of wavelets Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE LAGOAÇA E FORNOS".
Meaning:
The canting lagoon represents the former Lagoaça Commune, all other charges are taken from the arms of the former Fornos Commune.

Lagoaça e Fornos is one of the two communes of Freixo de Espada à Cinta Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 443 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 64,27 km².

Shield Argent, an eradicated olive tree Vert fruited Sable, a serpent Or clasping the trunk, in chief a Tau cross Azure, in base a lagoon Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "LAGOAÇA".
Meaning:
As the commune´s name probably is derived from "lagoa", the lagoon might be a canting element.
