Meaning:
The phrase "vale de anta" means literally "valley of dolmen", the arms being therefore canting.

Presentation of Vale de Anta

Vale de Anta was one of the 30 communes of Chaves Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 1625 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 10,18 km².
