Coat of Arms

Shield Or two eradicated chestnut trees Vert with capsuled Argent and fruited Gules Argent a tower Sable Or masoned Argent with windows of the same all set per chevron. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "CIMO DE VILA DA CASTANHEIRA".
Meaning:
All these images show the tower with no doors, while the blazon specifies it to be »aberta de (sic!) campo« (literally »open of [the] field«), that is: with (at least) one yellow door; likewise it shows two small slit-like windows, in silvery/grey (nomally Argent, usually white), inspite of no such indication in the blazon.
The phrase "cimo de vila da castanheira" means exactly "top of town of the chestnut tree" (yes, missing "the" after the first "of" and yes, it sounds strange in Portuguese), so something like Chestnutton Summit or Chestnut Towntop (sounds like something out of Midsomer Murders). This is only partly represented on the arms, by means of the trees.
