Shield Argent with base wavy of Argent and Vert crowned by a mountain issuant Vert, superimposed by a baker's oven Argent garnished Sable with roof tiles and chimney Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA DE PATAIAS".

Shield Vert, two geese affronty Argent armed Gules, in base two pine trees eradicated Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "MARTINGANÇA".
A variant (right image above) displays the pines Argent and the geese look like origami birds without armour Gules.
Meaning:
The geese are an attribute of St. Martin, name giver of the commune.
