This flag is a almost only a logo-on-background ty of flag. It’s a
(presumably) 2:3 horizontal tricolour of gold-white-blue in proportions
roughly 1:6:1. In the white stripe, it has the logo of the Algarve
Tourism Region above "ALGARVE" in hollow blue
lettering. The logo features a blue stylized algavan chimney with a
blue border around it, over four coloured lines red, yellow, blue and
green. This flag is quite seldom seen around here. I’ve only seen it
flying in the the Tourism Region HQs here in Faro, and even that only
from time to time. I think it’s more usual to find the poles empty than
to see flags in them. The logo, however, is ubiquous…

This Tourism Region coincides exactly with
Algarve proper.
