Gmina Radków is a rural commune in Włoszczowa County, Świętokrzyskie
Voivodship, in south-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Radków,
which lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) south of Włoszczowa and
49 km (30 mi) south-west of the regional capital Kielce.
Area: 86.32 sq.km (33.3 sq.mi), Population: 2,668 (2006); Smallest
commune of the voivodship. Land under cultivation - 53%; forests - 35%.
Jan Długosz wrote already about nearby villages of Kossów and Dzierzgów
in the 14th century. Now, it is a quiet village with beautiful noble mansion
and park.
Arms and flag adopted on December 30, 2008 (resolution # XVII/75/08)
There are no descriptions of the symbols available yet.
The Arms and the flag were designed by Dr. Andrzej Desperak and the
historical background was prepared by Dr. Marceli Antoniewicz of Czestochowa.
The new symbols won the approval of the Heraldic Commission of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Warsaw last December.
