First mentioned in 1361. Taken by the Germans on the first day of WW II by complete surprise.
Arms and flag adopted on April 2, 2008 (resolution # XVII/102/2008).
"Arms: on a red shield a common crane (Grus grus) in natural color
and with open wings, holding a silver rose in its talons.
Flag: red rectangle in the ratio 5:8. In its middle the Arms without
the shield."
Symbols designed by Mr.Lech-Tadeusz Karczewski (graphic artist) in
collaboration with Dr.Krzysztof Mikulski (Historian).

Because of a formal error the new symbols were once again adopted. The

On March 11, 2010, the Law about the new symbols of Kęsowo was officially
adopted again. (Uchwała nr XXXVI/210/2010 Rady Gminy Kęsowo z dnia 11
