From https://assercourant.nl/artikel/167382/dorp-anderen-beschikt-over-eigen-dorpsvlag.html:
The flag that was designed in collaboration with fellow villager Hans Hilbrands and members of the Historie Anderen Foundation. It is a bright yellow flag with a green vegetable stump and a blue colored winding track.
Anderen is a sand village, so yellow has been chosen as the main color. The kale stump, which symbolizes the nickname of the residents 'de Moeshappers', is placed centrally on the flag, because Anderen is very centrally located in the municipality of Aa en Hunze.

Anderen has a village flag and recently the first specimen of this flag was
offered to Janna Speelman, chair person of the foundation Village House Oes Stee
[our place]. This was done by Jan Kemker on behalf of Village Interest Anderen [Dorpsbelangen
Anderen]. Janna says [sic] on behalf of Oes Stee to be very happy with the
gesture of Village Interest and hoisted the flag immediately.
Jan Kemker
is very pleased about the Anderen village flag. ‘Anderen is but a small village
and we are proud to have succeeded in realising this’. He explains about the
flag that was designed in co-operation with fellow-villager Hans Hilbrands and
members of the Foundation History Anderen [Stichting Historie Anderen]. It is a
bright yellow flag. with a green kale stump and a blue-coloured winding stripe.
Anderen is a sand village hence yellow was chosen as the main colour. The kale
stump, which symbolises the soubriquet of the denizens ‘the kale biters’ [de
Moeshappers] was placed centrally on the flag, as Anderen is located very
centrally in the municipality of vAa en Hunze. The name Anderen ‘An- de- renne’
means at the deeplet [aan het diepje]. The nearby [nabij gelegen] Anderensche
Diep is represented by the blue stripe.’[sic]
