founded in 1968 with a pioneer role in the South Pacific Islands
shipping trades.
It is today divided into three branches, SOFRANA NC (New Caledonia),
SOFRANA Unilines NZ Ltd. (New Zealand) and SOFRANA Australia Pty (Australia).
Its main activity is shipping from Australia and New Zealand to various
South Pacific destinations including Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands,
New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Wallis and Futuna.
