Located in Yamaguchi City Yamaguchi Prefecture and established in 1949.
The university flag has white background with a green and yellow green symbol mark in the center and the university name in black, English and Chinese characters written horizontally.
The symbol mark was adopted in January 2004. There is a face within a large circle. It is a bud of learning that fosters research and education that values individuality, and is wide open to the world. The symbol color is green, which is reminiscent of nature and expresses the university's honesty and security.
