The town emblem was adopted on May 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The
town emblem is a stylized kanji 日 Hi of Hidakagawa. The white flag has a blue
and a green two color town emblem in the center. The circle stands for the
former towns and villages, the green color for a green high mountain range and
the blue color for a fresh stream of the rivers. As a whole, it represents a
wish for a reconciliation of the former towns and villages, and a
development of the vigorous town which lives together with an abundant nature.
