The city emblem was adopted on Jul 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana さ Sa of Saku in a form of flying bird. It represents a further surge of the city creating an abundant future and a wish to realize an urban development strongly by bright and attractive citizen.

The flag of the former village of Asashina was yellow with mark. The village is now, from 2005, part of the city of Saku.

The design is based on the katakana character ア “A,” with the upper part representing Mount Asama and Mount Tateshina, and the lower part representing the Chikuma River.

Mochizuki Town / 望月町
