The Flag

The flag of the town of Yokohama is blue with mark.

The town emblem was adopted in Sep 1970 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a red and a yellow two color town emblem in the center and the kanji name in white horizontally at the bottom. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana よ Yo of Yokohama. The two circles symbolize a peace, a solidarity and a happiness, the upper point does an unlimited exponential development to the future.
