The logo is circular and dark blue, and has in the center a green map of the governorate. Over it is a golden tea pot probably signifying positive reception, and above it a doorway, representing mosques as important to the Islamic faith. Above all of this is a clock tower bearing Iraqi national flags; this is found in the center of Al-Diwaniyah city, with the governorate name in Arabic to its sides. Surrounding most elements except the Arabic text are two branches, the left one of olive for peace and the right one of palm for the palm industry, both in gold. At their intersection is a map of the governorate over a white circle, in gold. Above this is a palm tree, symbolizing the same. To its sides is its name in English, "AL-Diwaniyah governorate".
