A new university (Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem) has been established on 1st January 2012 integrating three education institutions of the most important intellectual centers in Hungary, such as the Miklós Zrínyi National Defense University, the Police College and the Faculty of Public Administration of The Corvinus University of Budapest.
Three elements of the new University became three faculties. Faculty of Military Sciences and Officers Training based on former National Defense University, Faculty of Police Sciences is successor of Police College, and Faculty of Public Administration continues its work in a new environment.

The University itself and its all three faculties have a flag as well. These flags has a similar pattern, white field with seal in the center of the flag. The only exception is the military-based faculty, its flag has a traditional bordure forming by green and red triangles. Ratio of the flags are 2:3.

Zrinyi National Defence University

Zrinyi National Defence University was established in 1996, it was the successor educational institution of former Military Academy. With its establishment, all military colleges were integrated into the (at that time) new university. Now it is part of newly created National University of Public Service.
The university had a flag, with white field with red and green triangles around the field. University shield was placed in the center of the flag, and name of the institution was placed above and under the shield with golden letters. Its ratio was 1:2.
