Bagamér is a large village in Nyíradony District of Hajdú-Bihar county, near to the Romanian border.
Its first surviving written mention dates back to 1281, under the name Bagomer.
Its first owner was the Gutkeled family. The smaller villages in the area that still existed at that time only have their names left,
but Bagamér was already a populous settlement with more than a thousand inhabitants at the beginning of the 17th century.
It was depopulated during the Turkish times, and was resettled with serfs in the 18th century.
It became a large village in 1871, but it lost this title in 1952 and only regained it in 1971, when it was merged with the village of álmosd.
Since 1990, the two settlements have operated separately again.

Its flag is white with its coat of arms placed in the center of the flag. The name the settlement is written under the shield. Ratio is 1:2.
The original adoption date is unknown for me, probably it was adopted by Local Government Decree No. 4/2012. (III.22.) issued on 22 March 2012.
The current legislation is the Local Government Decree No. 1/2022. (I. 18.) issued on 18 January 2022.

The coat of arms is a blue shield – at the bottom of which is a reclining lion – with a knight dressed entirely in iron standing, with a sword slung over his shoulder in his right hand and a golden crown in his left.
On January 11, 1611, the Hajdú knights of Bagamér received this coat of arms from the Transylvanian prince Gábor Báthori.
Above the shield is an open military helmet, covered by a crown decorated with precious stones and pearls.
The helmet is decorated with a griffin with outstretched wings and sticking out its tongue.
Ribbons and straps of different colors flow down from the top of the helmet as a helmet cover.
The coat of arms was adopted by the same Decree.
