HNK Gorica was founded in 2009 by the union of NK Radnik from Velika Gorica and NK Poleta from Buševac. The clubs united due to the financial reasons of NK Radnik.

NK Radnik from Velika Gorica and NK Poleta from Buševac united as HNK Gorica due to the financial reasons of NK Radnik The flags of NK Radnik were dark blue or red with the badge centered. The blue falg was inuse circa 1990-2009; the red flag around 1980.
