The flag and arms of Tianeti are prescribed by Decree No. 63, adopted on 15 September 2010 by the Municipal Council.

The flag of Tianeti is vertically divided red-green, with, in the
middle, a big yellow "Georgian" cross patty cantonned with four yellow
nine-rayed suns.
The flag is derived from the municipal arms, which are "Per pale, 1.
Gules a cross patty or cantonned with four nine-rayed suns of the
same, 2. Vert an oak of the second hanging from a chain if the same
issuing from the chief, in base three fesses wavy argent. The shield
surmounted by a three-towered mural crown argent fimbriated sable.
Under the shield a scroll argent fimbriated sable charged with the
name of the town in Georgian capital letters sable."
