Shield abased parted by a fess embattled Or, above Azure a lion rampant crowned Argent, beneath Vert a fess wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The lion basically is a differentiation the arms of the Counts of Veldenz and is taken from the 1835 version of the Bavarian arms. He is also called the "Lion of the Oberpfalz". He is representing the Zweibrücken-Veldenz line of the Palatine Counts. The tinctures were counterchanged in the municipal arms. The fess embattled is representing a local wall under monument protection. The lower half is representing landscape, green pastures and the Regen River. Lappersdorf gained the title of a market town in 1997.

The arms were approved on 27 February 1959 by Minister of Interior of Bayern and confirmed on 15 September 1978 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberpfalz, when probably also the banner was confirmed.
