Fischerbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules two fish Or in saltire, bordure nebuly of Azure and Argent.
Meaning:
The bordure is taken from the arms of the Counts of Fürstenberg, local rulers since the 16th century, however in counterchanged tinctures. The fish are canting. They are based on a seal of the Reeves of Weiler from the 18th century. The fish were depicted on top of a church. Fischerbach consisted of Fischerbach proper, the hamlets of Weiler and Eschau and the Waldstein valley. The whole area had been already united as one municipality since the 30-Years-War.
