Shield Argent parted by a bend sinister Sable charged with a wreath of oak twigs Or, in dexter chief a violin Gules in bend sinister, in sinister base a plough Sable.
Meaning:
After WW2 many violin makers from Schönbach settled down in the municipality. The plough is representing agriculture as most important business line. The bend sinister displays the sash of the Bubenruthia Fraternity, based in Erlangen University, whose members frequently visited the village.
