Wehringen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a reversed equilateral triangle Argent with two dents pointing inwards from the top edge, in chief a mitre Or with scarves of the same.
Meaning:
The triangle is probably a local symbol. Bishop Clemens Wenzelslaus of Augsburg (1739 - 1812) invited all municipalities alongside the Hochstraße (English: Highway), to mark their properties, among those boundary stones and boundary-posts, fences and public equipment, by local symbols. The current tinctures red and white and the mitre are stressing the close relationships to the Bishopric of Augsburg.

The original arms were granted on 29 September 1837 by King Ludwig I of Bayern, the current arms were approved on 21 February 1986 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Schwaben.
