Today I'm proudly presenting this
web-adress, where symbols of community Jankovice in District Uherske
Hradiste are shown. The text is in Czech however and protected by copyright(?),
so here the translation of flag description:
"Flag description: The field consists of 6 horizontal stripes in colours
blue, yellow (although depiction on web seems to be orange,
it is not correct), red, yellow and blue (3:1:6:1:3). In the middle
stripe there is a white cross wide s 1/3 of the red stripe with blue
fleur - de - lys in centre."
November 19, 2001 is date of ceremony of granting, the date of grant
is, however, not mentioned there. White cross in red - it is a link to
Jankovice (district Kroměříž) and to Rusava (same district), because it
was Coat of Arms of Count von Rottal. All these communities (and many others)
were property of this family in years after Thirty - Years - War.
