Sedlec-Prčice is c. 60 km in the Benešov district southwest of Prague, has many claims to fame. The most important of these is historical: the region was the home of Vítek of Prčice, the forefather of the noble Rosenberg family, which was known by its insignia, a rose. Vítek's rose is the oldest known insignia of a noble family in the Czech lands. Despite the fact that Sedlec-Prčice is rather small, it nevertheless has more neighborhoods - 36 in all - than any other Czech city or town. Many little villages with fantastic names in the area are considered to be a part of  Sedlec-Prčice - Monín, Chotětice, Šanovice, Myslkov, Bolešín, Vrchotice, Kvašt'ov, Krošíček, Náhlík, Mrákotice, and so on.
