Overview

In https://cumanayagua.gob.cu/nuestra-region/region-cizq/simbolos-municipales is the flag of the municipality of Cumanayagua.

According to the page, it says that the name of the flag's designer is Winston F. Hernández Echemendía. Translated, the caption reads:

"On a white background, a blue stripe is drawn which opens in the form of a Y, running across the flag's width and length. Attached to it, mountains are drawn containing symbolism, as well as a plain, which are both united in the form of a large C, and on the left end are five points outlined in red then black with red highlights.

The blue area of the flag symbolizes the two rivers that unite at the two mouths, and at one of its ends is the city, represented by the star.

The green area represents the plain and the mountain. The colors red and black of the star represent the Revolution which liberated and dignified the City, extending into the future.

The white background represents the symbol of peace and nobility of ideals which generations of people have fought for as Cumanayaguenses."
