Description of the flag

The new image of Ville de Sept-Îles represents its inhabitants' dynamism, know-how and open-mindedness. It is expected to be gathering, emblematic and modern, as a tribute to the visionary builders who have been able to clear with ingenuity the paths for the future.
Thanks to an open-minded, diversified and empowered population, to experienced workers and audacious enterprises, Ville de Sept-Îles, today a land of welcome and big achievements, built the position it now holds on the regional, provincial, national and international scenes.

The logo is composed of curved shapes with assertive features evoking both gathering and open-mindedness to the world. Gold, warm and shining, represents dynamism and know-how; green, strong and blueish, represents solidity and recalls the geographical context. The whole forms an emblematic ensemble, like a four-leaved clover crowned by the symbolic number seven ["sept"], whose mirror effect reveals a whale's tail.
