About the Flag of Cubatão

The flag is white with the coat of arms on the center. The coat of arms was originally adopted by law no. 638 of 13 July 1966 and revised by law no. 796 of 19 December 1969. The field of the coat of arms is red with a silver gear surmounted by a sun emitting four equal golden rays, all superimposed on an arrow and a halberd in saltire, gold and silver. Three inescutcheons conjoined in chief show in silver an oil refinery, an electrical tower, and a steel mill. The shield is flanked by green banana tree branches. The name of the municipality on the scroll is flanked by the dates 1833 and 1949.
