The current institutional flag consists of a red field with the logo imposed upon it. The logo was introduced on September 19, 2022; the flag was also adopted during this time, but as with logo changes the flag was not adopted instantly. It uses the new institutional colors, Matador Red and Skystone/Turquoise; away from the traditional colors of maroon and gold.

The previous flag used the old logo, an Arizona Western College sunburst
emitting from the mountains, in gold over a red field. At the sides were two
thin golden stripes. Obviously the mountains are in specific the Gila Mountains,
which can be seen from the campus.

A yellow flag with a red border, and the letters AWC en echelon in red.
The sporting flag was mostly associated with the American football team which
has since been disbanded.
