Description of the flag

The Qarsherskiyan people are a mixed-race community of various extended families of multigenerationally mixed-race heritage originating in Eastern North America.

The flag of the Qarsherskiyan community features the Ajami script from West Africa, which resembles Arabic, and a Dhulfiqar sword. The script reads "Qarsherskiyan" (قارشيرصكئً) and a statement of monotheism that most Qarsherskiyan people agree on which unites members of the community of various faiths. While half of the Qarsherskiyan community are Muslims, the result of extensive Dawah since 1991 and a few families that kept old West African traditions from pre-slavery ancestors, the community is diverse in terms of faith and political standing, united by mixed heritage and fusion cultures.

A photo of Qarsherskiyan men holding the Qarsherskiyan Creole flag. This flag represents the Qarsherskiyan community and it isn't for anything else. It's been used by our community since the 1991 era when we all got together and adopted the term "Qarsherskiyan" to prevent our family traditions and culture from going extinct by assimilation into a racially binary Black and White America. It was a way for us to embrace our mixed identity.

A minor point, but that sword is not Dhulfiqar. Zulfiqar, which was Ali's sword, had a double blade.
