It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of purple and yellow.

Shield Or an olive branch Vert fructed Sable and a grapevine Vert fructed Purple, base wavy Azure charged with a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three four towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SENDIM - TABUAÇO"
Meaning:
The olive branch in the arms stands for the local olive groves and the grapevinestands for the local vineyards. The whole wavy thing is said to represent the Távora River, which is the commune´s eastern boundary.

Sendim is one of the nine communes of Tabuaço Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 675 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 21,75 km².
