It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a white and blue quartered (town rank) field.

The arms are Vair on a saltire Gules five inescutcheons Argent each charged with five inescutcheons Azure bearing five plates per fess. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VEIROS - ESTREMOZ"
Meaning:
"Veiros" is Portuguese for "vair"", the heraldic fur, and, although the exact etym of this toponym is unrelated, the creator of these arms felt the need to make them canting by use vair for the field.

Veiros Commune is one of the nine communes of Estremoz Municipality; it had 857 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 39,72 km².
