Flag

The flag of Rosales is white with its coat of arms imposed upon it. I was informed by the council that its adoption date is unknown.

Coat of Arms

The coat of arms was adopted as official during the administration of Municipal President Roberto Ávila Rede (1974-1977). It was originally created during the administration of Guillermo Matamoros Chavira (1966-1968). Author unknown. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:

Inside the shield, in first term, a cloud as symbol of the shortage of rain, also includes as blazons the Municipal Palace and the Mountains of Rosales, to whose foot appears a cannon as homage to the Chihuahuenses that defended the integrity of the nation in 1848, forward to the North American invaders. To the center of the shield a great cross, which symbolizes the establishment of the mission, in her the name of the local tribe Tapacolmes stays inscribed [not appearing in more modern versions]; in the section it includes the San Pedro River, to whose dexter side agricultural works are observed, rudimentary or primitive and in the sinister other lands worked with modern technique. In the lower section highlighted are the colors of our flag, a crown of oak and laurel frame the year of foundation of the Municipal seat 1714 [also not appearing in more modern versions]. The Cross of Tapacolmes is the central blazon of this shield, which is crested by the Las Virgenes Dam, it is resolved over Spanish field.

In the border, at the top appears the name ROSALES. The motto "ESFUERZO LEALTAD CONFIANZA" [Effort, Loyalty, Trust] goes around from left to right.
