Csabrendek is a large village in Sümeg district of Veszprém county.
The settlement originally belonged to Zala County from the time of King St. Stephen of Hungary until the county reorganization of 1950.
The name of the village is of Slavic origin, which means red ore in Hungarian. This refers to the red-colored soil from bauxite, which is a characteristic of the area.
Today's Csabrendek was built up from three parts, these parts were then separate villages. The Tatars destroyed the villages together with their churches.
Until 1428, Csabrendek was considered a significant settlement, the district seat of the eastern part of Zala County. During the Turkish period, the two Csab parts began to depopulate.
After the end of the battles against the Turks, the ancestor of today's Csabrendek was born from the union of the three areas.

The coat of arms is a vertically divided shield, red and blue. In the red field, a silver knight in armor floats, holding a mace in his right hand.
In his left hand, he holds a round-based shield with a red cross on it. At the bottom of the blue field, a green trefoil is visible.
A golden vine growing from the trefoil is entwined around a golden stake. Golden grape clusters hang from the capital.
Above the shield, a silver bastioned wall crown is visible. Of the three turreted bastions, the middle gate opens.
The coat of arms was adopted by the same Local Government Decree.
