Nichols Hills adopted a city flag on July 7, 1982, when a flag design contest's
winners were recognized by resolution. The first place winner was Brad Davis.
His design evokes Nichols Hills's designation as "Tree City, USA" by
incorporating a tree into the city's emblem, an N over an H. Since the current
emblem does have a tree, it appears the current emblem of Nichols Hills was
inspired by the city flag. However, it does not appear the city uses a city flag
today.
