The flag is a white field with an orange border. On it are two orange disks labeled INNOVATION and OPPORTUNITY, and between them a red ring with an image of a red brick building in it.
It seems that East Orange has had another, probably two flags, according to
an article by the Newark Sunday Call. It says that the judge found a flag in the
attic of the homestead of the municipality's recorder. It is described to have
been a yellow field with three white bars, with the council president accepting
that copy gifted to them and it then adorned the council room. This occurred in
1936, and East Orange had only recently in 1909 become a city. The city clerk
found no mention of this flag, but did find mention of the use of a flag with a
blue background and white triangular center. This could probably be another
municipal flag. East Orange was a township before 1909, so there exists a
possibility one or both were a township flag, however unlikely it is.
