Description of the flag

Flag of the American "OceanGate" firm that owned the "Titan" submersible, that imploded and sank on June 18, 2023, while diving to explore the SS Titanic wreak site off the southeastern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Apparently, on several dives OceanGate hoisted a labeled "Titanic Exploration" flag which contained a sub-slogan noting which diving mission was being undertaken, such as "Mission III" in mid-June 2023. (The black squiggly lines on the white field are signatures of crewmen who served on a particular sea expedition. The SS Titanic itself sank on April 14, 1912.

Also, there is blue-white-blue stripe flag (resembling that of Argentina, where Spanish spoken) and a 1912-era looking photograph of possibly either a crew member or a passenger on the SS Titanic, along with a slogan in Spanish "La vida de los muertos per obra en la memoria de los vivas" which translates as "The life of the dead works in the memory of the living" (according to Google translator). I do not know what the association of this portrait-flag (which also displays a small U.S. flag) has to do with the SS Titanic. The website for OceanGate is no longer accessible for information, but can be accessed at https://oceangateexpeditions.com/
