The flag of the «autonomist movement, 1918-1920» is one of the
three flags shown for Chechenia by P. Lux-Wurm in his book Les drapeaux de
l’Islam [lux01]. It is rectangular,
with proportions 2:3, green with a white crescent pointing flywise placed near
the hoist. Lux-Wurm says it was used by guerilla groups who followed
Stalin’s call to the Muslim peoples.

According to [Lucien] Philippe, Chechens, who were subjects of the
North Caucasian Emirate, used plain green flag
with half moon pointed to fly, without stars.
Jaume Ollé, 24 June 2000
This similar flag, with the crescent centered, is undoubtedly the
same as the «autonomist movement, 1918-1920» in
Lux-Wurm’ book [lux01].
