Shield Vert two oak twigs Argent fructed Gules set fesswise, in chief a helicon Argent, issuant from flanches and from base wavy Argent, charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, a two-arch hump bridge Or masoned Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "CARVALHEIRA - TERRAS DE BOURO".
Meaning:
The word "carvalheira" is an unclear cognate of "carvalho" (an oak). The arms are therefore partly canting.

Carvalheira is one of the 11 communes of Terras de Bouro Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 292 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 9,93 km².
