Tabuaço municipality had 6785 inhabitants in 2001 and consists of 13 communes covering 135,72 km².
It is part of Viseu District, traditional province and 1999 ref. adm. region TrĂ¡s-os-Montes e Alto Douro, current C.C.R. / NUTS II Norte, and NUTS III Douro.
