Shield Sable, an open book Argent, lettered Gules, superimposed by a crozier Or with scarf Argent, a mattock's blade Argent in dexter and sinister chief, in base two branches of olive Or crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SANTO AMARO - SOUSEL".
